Producer – Joe Gruberman

Joe Gruberman is an award-winning writer/producer whose projects have included four independent feature films and three television programs, as well as many shorts and commercial ads, several of which have been produced under his banner of Bronck’s Park Productions.

An accomplished director, videographer and editor, Joe launched a free educational series for indie filmmakers in 2004 and continues that series to this day under the sponsorship of IFP/Phoenix, where he serves as Education Director. Joe has written, directed or produced multiple projects such as:

  • Chandler Hall – A full-length film about love, sacrifice and betrayal that won Best Feature in the Other Venice Film Festival.
  • Tracing Cowboys – A full-length film about a young Englishman searching for his missing friend in Mexico during the Day of the Dead festival, which won a Bronze Prize for Best Dramatic Feature at the Worldfest Houston Festival.
  • The Banished – A delightful horror short with a comedic twist ending.
  • Small Happys – A collaboration with first-time writer/producer Jean Georgianni that debuted at the 2011 Phoenix Film Festival. SMALL HAPPYS was Joe’s experiment with the premise that a great script and great talent in front of the camera and behind the scenes has the best chance of success. New Times magazine chose SMALL HAPPYS as one of the 8 “must-see” shorts of the Phoenix Film Festival.
Rugged individualism is, has been, and always will be the true measure of a person’s success.” – Joe Gruberman
