LEAD ACTRESS – Tori Allen
Tori Allen is a former X-Games gold medalist and professional rock climber who grew up in the jungles of Africa climbing trees with her pet monkey.
She moved on to rocks and quickly became a major force in the climbing world.
In 2000, she became the youngest person to flash a route (climb on the first try without falling) with a 5.13a degree of difficulty. In 2001, she became the youngest female climber to ever summit the Nose of El Capitan in Yosemite Valley, California. At the age of 13, she was a four-time U.S. National Champion, the only female climber to hold all four major domestic competitive titles in rock climbing and in 2002, she won the Speed Climbing Championship at the ESPN X-Games setting a speed climbing record in the process. Additionally, she was a three-time Gorge Games gold medalist.
Rising above the norm for professional climbers, Tori established a program called FREAK, which stands for: I am a Female athlete who Respects my competitors, Encourages newcomers, Applauds every effort, and Keeps my sport in perspective. She won several national awards for this program including Cosmo’s Girl of the Year and American Eagle’s “Live Your Life” campaign role model.
She is also a motivational speaker and released a motivational book which she wrote when she was 13 entitled “Life Rocks!” which encourages and empowers children to take responsibility and make positive choices in their lives.
Graduating from high school at age 16, Tori went on to Florida State University on an athletic scholarship for pole vaulting where she graduated in 2009.
She now lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado where she works with a law firm while pursuing her dream of opening her own rock climbing gym and inspiring others, young and old, to live life to the fullest.
